Monthly Sound Bath at Dimitra Yoga

Some experiences have to be felt to be understood. This monthly gathering is one of them.

Rooted in thousands of years of healing tradition, sound healing works by immersing your body and mind in the resonant vibrations of gongs, crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other healing instruments. These frequencies travel through the body at a cellular level, inviting a deep physical release that goes far beyond ordinary relaxation.

Research suggests that sound healing activates the parasympathetic nervous system — shifting you out of stress and into genuine rest — lowering the heart rate, easing tension, and quieting the mind in ways that can feel almost effortless. The vibrations guide the brain into a theta state: the place between waking and dreaming where deep restoration, creativity, and inner stillness naturally arise.

Many people find it’s the most profound rest they’ve experienced in months. Some drift off completely — and that’s more than welcome.

Each session is woven together with intention, reflection, and the healing power of sound — leaving you clearer, calmer, and more at home in yourself.

Space is limited. Reserve your spot and give yourself the reset you’ve been needing.

*Sound Bath Disclaimer: Sound baths are generally safe and healing for most, but if you’re pregnant, have hearing aids, epilepsy, heart conditions, migraines, psychiatric disorders, are sensitive to sound, or use devices like pacemakers, insulin pumps, or metal implants, it’s best to consult your doctor beforehand. Reactions to sound baths are individual and can bring up strong physical, emotional, or mental releases and responses. The sound vibrations may increase blood flow and guide you into a deeply relaxed state, potentially altering your state of consciousness. It’s normal to feel deeply relaxed, fall asleep, or even feel lightheaded. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, please take a break. Remember to drink plenty of water afterward to help your body detox and take your time transitioning out of the session. We’re here to support you and ensure you feel comfortable and at ease. Participation is voluntary, and by joining, you agree to assume full responsibility for your health and well-being.
